happy cow

yalo yalo, i just got back from chiangmai and i just had to blog abt it. it was utterly fabulous. i did very little shopping *faint* and i went trekking! anyway if anyone gets the urge to go up, down, around and over hills for 4 hours and end up sleeping in a bamboo hut with no running water or electricity, contact eagle guest house in chiangmai. they have excellent tours and i was really impressed with how my guide scuttled up hills in 3-for-$10 slippers while everyone else slid backwards in their brand name pod cloppers.

really picturesque watching little lumps of green elephant turd bob merrily down the river and realising that humans rely on that same river for all their watery needs. new water never seemed so tasty in my life. :)

also do try the chiangmai cooking sch. its really good and all hands-on. would recommend skipping brekkie though. 6 dishes does tend to stretch the tummy a little.

Comments:
man. i need to get going on a real trek soon. who doesn't like to rough it out in some wilderness beneath a canopy of stars?

but then, who doesn't want to relax in a hot tub after a 9-course dinner in a 5-star beach resort?

arrrgh. the dichotomised dilemma of travel.

yoohoo you made it sound really nice ;) glad you had fun gal... and one silly question: where are u now?
